The World’s First DMB 2.0 Phone From LG
LG Electronics Korea has recently unveiled the LG SU420, which is touted as the world’s first DMB 2.0 cell phone. Dubbed as the “Cafe Phone”, the handset comes equipped with an integrated mobile TV receiver that supports DMB 2.0. FYI, the DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) 2.0 is an interactive Internet-based television service that enables users to access a range of data-based services such as e-commerce, stock updates or personal video recordings.
The new LG SU420 features a 3.2-inch WVGA touchscreen LCD, a 3-megapixel main camera (a front-facing cam for video conferencing), Wi-Fi, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, a microSD card slot and a 1250 mAh battery. Additionally, the LG SU420 is currently available in South Korea via SK Telecom. [LG]
