Rogers Sells Samsung Corby Pro For $70 On Contract

Still remember the Samsung Corby Pro that we mentioned last month? Mobile Syrup has reported that Rogers is ready to release the Samsung Corby Pro B5310 in Canada this week. Rogers will target this handset at “teens looking for a touchscreen device that looks good and allows them to stay connected to friends and multimedia”, and at “customers looking for smartphone-like features without having to subscribe to a data plan.” Rogers’ Samsung Corby Pro retails for $69.99 with a 3-year contract, $119.99 with a 2-year contract, $219.99 with a 1-year contract, or $274.99 free of contract. As a reminder, the Samsung Corby Pro comes jam packed with a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, a full QWERTY keyboard, TouchWiz UI, widgets, a social networking integration, a 3.5mm headset jack, a stereo Bluetooth, a 3MP camera and a MicroSD card support. Still remember the Acer Liquid e, which is the company’s first Android-powered smartphone? This handset is now available in Canada via Rogers Wireless. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor, this Android 2.1-powered handset features a 3.5-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, Quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and Triband (900/1900/2100) HSDPA, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and a 5-megapixel camera.
