
Nokia has also introduced the Nokia 701 Symbian Belle smartphone. What makes this handset special is that it has a 3.5-inch IPS LCD display with ClearBlack technology, creating a great combination of excellent brightness and contrast. The display is also wrapped in Corning Gorilla Glass. Measuring 11mm x 56.8mm x 117.3mm and weighing 131 grams, the Nokia 701 is powered a 1GHz processor and supports a pentaband radio, HSUPA 3G, WiFi, and NFC. Additional specs include a brand new graphics co-processor, an 8GB of internal storage space, a microSD card slot(up to 32GB), an 8-megapixel full focus camera with a dual-LED flash on the back, a secondary camera at the front for video calling, Bluetooth, GPS and an FM radio. The battery is rated at up to 17-hour of talktime over GSM or up to 550-hour on standby time.(8.8/504h over 3G). Available in steel dark, silver light, amethyst violet, and white, the Nokia 701 Symbian Belle smartphone will be launched in the third quarter of 2011 for around EUR 290 before local taxes or operator subsidies.
