Samsung Intercept Now Available On Virgin Mobile

Virgin Mobile has started selling the Samsung Intercept via Target stores and followed with the online stores later this month. Users of the Samsung Intercept also have access to more than 80,000 applications currently available on the Android Market, and can sign up for one of Virgin Mobile’s Beyond Talk plans which include e-mail, data and Web along with 300, 1200 or unlimited voices minutes per month and are perfect for the person always on-the-go. FYI, the Samsung Intercept comes jam packed with a 3.2-inch touch-screen display, a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a 3.2-megapixel camera with video recording capability. What’s more, the Android handset also comes preloaded with multiple applications, including such favorite social apps such as You Tube, Facebook and Google Talk as well as the Virgin Mobile Live app used to access Virgin Mobile’s branded music stream. The Samsung Intercept will be available at Virgin Mobile online stores this later month and other retailers throughout the month for $249.99 with no contract and monthly plans starting at $25 a month. NTT DoCoMo today unveiled its Japanese-market version of the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone and Galaxy Tab tablet. Both gadgets are powered by the Android 2.2 operating system, enabling users to choose from a large variety of applications available at the Android Market, DoCoMo market and Samsung Apps. These gadgets also support DoCoMo’s new e-book service, which will launch on a trial basis in late October 2010, as well as the sp-mode service that allows DoCoMo users to access i-mode mail accounts with their smartphones. For your info, the GALAXY S features a 4-inch ultra-bright SUPER AMOLED screen, a 5.0-megapixel camera and a multi-touch functionality that enables intuitive control of the screen. The Galaxy Tab provides an all-new way to experience Internet browsing on the go. The large 7-inch screen allows full Flash-compatible browsing and displays images in PC-quality 600 x 1,024-pixel resolution. The Samsung Galaxy S is scheduled to launch in late October 2010, while the Galaxy Tab in late November 2010. Samsung has recently announced a small promotion to celebrate National Day in Hong Kong. The company will offer a “Fashionable Travel Kit” for customers who purchase Samsung Galaxy 580, S3370, B5722C or S5560 before October 9th, 2010. Samsung has confirmed the availability of the Samsung Galaxy K. This handset will be launched next month via KT Korea. Too bad, KT spokeswoman Kim Yoon Jeong hasn’t said anything about the phone’s price but KT will confirm it when the release is imminent.
