Verizon Introduces Casio G’zOne Ravine 2 – Good News For Clumsy Phone Owners

Verizon Wireless today announced a successor to the rugged Casio G’zOne Ravine. Dubbed as the Casio G’zOne Ravine 2, the phone is tougher that its predecessor. The Casio G’zOne Ravine 2 meets military standards for immersion, water, shock and dust resistance, vibration, humidity, solar radiation, altitude, and extreme temperatures. I can say that this handset is perfect for people who enjoy hiking, skiing, trekking, desert tracking, mountain climbing or are just plain clumsy with their phones. The Casio G’zOne Ravine 2 features a 3.2-megapixel AutoFocus digital camera with LED flash and video recording, VZNavigator (GPS navigation), dual displays, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and a microSD card slot (up to 32GB). What’s more, the Ravine 2 comes pre-installed with Casio’s Gz’Gear software, which includes a compass, pedometer, tides, and data on the phases of the moon, sunrise/sunset, and the night sky. Verizon Wireless will launch the Casio G’zOne Ravine 2 on November 17th, 2011 for US$149.99 with a new two-year contract and after a US$50 mail-in rebate. [TFTS]
