Acer has officially announced the beTouch E140 Android smartphone in the UK. The Acer beTouch E140 is powered by the Google Android 2.2 Froyo and features a 2.8-inch QVGA display, a 600Mhz processor, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, an FM radio with RDS, a 3.2MP camera, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB) and a 1300 mAh battery. AT&T And T-Mobile Will Launch Acer Liquid Metal

A senior Acer official has announced at a New York City press conference that AT&T and T-Mobile are now evaluating the Acer Liquid Metal, an Android OS 2.2-based smartphone, for possible release in the United States. These network carriers have been talking to the company about bringing the Acer Liquid Metal to their Android portfolios. For your info, the Acer Liquid Metal features a 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen display, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, a Social Jogger app (for quick access to Facebook and Twitter), a 3.5mm headset jack, a 5MP AutoFocus camera with HD video recording capabilities and an 800MHz processor. Acer Liquid Metal Android 2.2 Smartphone Is Now Official

Acer has finally confirmed the availability of the Liquid Metal Android smartphone. The phone is powered by the Google Android 2.2 OS, Acer’s Breeze UI overlay with SocialJogger app that integrates Facebook and Twitter, a 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230 processor, a 3.6-inch capacitive touchscreen, a 14.4 Mbps HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11n, DLNA/UPnP support, Dolby Surround technology, a 5-megapixel AutoFocus camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording at 30fps, a stainless steel battery cover with chrome trims and a LED notification light above the display. The Acer Liquid Metal Android 2.2 smartphone is priced at £299 ($479). The brown version will be released next month in the UK, while the silver version will be available in December 2010. Still remember the Acer Liquid e, which is the company’s first Android-powered smartphone? This handset is now available in Canada via Rogers Wireless. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor, this Android 2.1-powered handset features a 3.5-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, Quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and Triband (900/1900/2100) HSDPA, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and a 5-megapixel camera. Acer has finally released two new Windows Mobile 6.5.3 smartphones in the form of the neoTouch P400 and neoTouch P300. The neoTouch P400 is powered by a Qualcomm 7227 600MHz processor, a 256MB RAM and a 512MB ROM. It features a 3.2-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, WiFi. Meanwhile, the Acer neoTouch P300 comes with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS. The phone uses a Qualcomm 7225 528MHz processor, a 256MB RAM and a 512MB ROM. Both handsets come with a microSD slot and a 3.5mm jack.
