Samsung Galaxy S Hits Australia Via Optus

Samsung will release the Samsung Galaxy S in Australia via Optus, which is Australia’s second largest mobile operator. Optus will release this Android phone starting July 1st, 2010 for free with a 2-year agreement and a “yes” Social plan ($59 per month). The Samsung Galaxy S is actually the first Android handset to feature a Super AMOLED touchscreen display. The phone is powered by a 1GHz processor, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, a 5MP camera with HD video recording, and an 8/16GB of internal memory. [Press Release]
