LG has officially unveiled a new Android smartphone at CES 2011, the LG Optimus Black. Measuring at just 9.2mm, the phone is claimed to be the world’s thinnest smartphone so far. As a comparison, the Apple iPhone 4 measures at 9.3mm thin. The new LG Optimus Black features a 4-inch Nova display, Optimus UI 2.0, Wi-Fi Direct for quick and high-quality data transfer between mobile devices, the Google Android 2.2 OS, a 2MP front-facing camera and a 1,500mAh battery. For your info, the Nova display is designed to be the brightest, clearest and most readable among mobile screens with 700 nits of brightness for optimal visibility. This eco-friendly display also consumes less power than both LCD and AMOLED displays. The LG Optimus Black will be launched globally starting the first half of 2011.
