Upcoming Meizu MX Smartphone

The new Meizu MX is not an ordinary Android smartphone, because it has a powerful specification such as a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, a 4-inch ASV display with a 960 x 640 pixel resolution, a 1GB of RAM, a 16GB of internal storage, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p HD recording and HSPA+ support. There is also a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

Upcoming Meizu MX Smartphone

The Meizu MX runs on the Flyme OS, which is actually a customized version of the Google Android 2.3.5 OS. The Meizu MX smartphone will be released in China on January 1st, 2012 for 2,999 Yuan or around US$470. See more pictures after the jump. Read more…

Introducing The nanoSIM

If you think the microSIM is the world’s smallest SIM card, then think again! German-based company Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) has successfully developed the nanoSIM, which is 30 percent smaller than the micro-SIM. Measuring 12mm x 9mm, the new nanoSIM enables the cell phone manufacturer to create devices that are thinner and slimmer. Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) will also release an adapter solution, allowing the nano-SIM to be used in a normal SIM card and a microSIM slot-enabled device. iRiver Vanilla Android Smartphone Released In South Korea

The iRiver Vanilla Android smartphone will be launched in the South Korean market. Powered by the Google Android 2.2 Froyo OS, the handset features a 3.5-inch (800×480) multitouch display, a 512MB of RAM, a microSD card slot(up to 32GB), and a 5-megapixel AutoFocus camera. ZTE Skate (Monte Carlo) Hits The UK Market

Folks in the UK will be able to purchase the ZTE Skate a.k.a. Monte Carlo via Orange. The France Telecom’s British subsidiary has placed the Monte Carlo on the “Coming Soon” handset list. FYI, the handset runs on the Google Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread OS and features a 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, a 5-megapixel camera, HSPA, and Wi-Fi.
